Project Manager (Building Science & Sustainability)

Job Description:

  • Building Science core services as applicable (Building Science investigation, building envelope design for existing buildings, concrete/masonry rehabilitation, building condition assessments & capital planning/asset management, condominium management support and related services)
  • Investigations, assessments, design and administering rehabilitation work
  • Preparing proposals, reports, summarizing data, and contract documents
  • Client development and marketing
  • Supervising, training and mentoring of junior staff, including review of written work
  • Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the group
  • Financial involvement in projects
  • Any other job related duties that may be assigned from time to time

 

Job Qualifications:

  • A college diploma in the field related to Building Science, Building Performance, or Building Systems Engineering is required.
  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering related to Building Science or Bachelor of Architectural Science is preferred.
  • Experience in Project Management, Building Condition Assessments, building construction and rehabilitation is required.  
  • Licensed with the Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng) is preferred.
  • Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Candidates must be able to work well in a team environment and must possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills which are essential to the position.  
  • This position requires work related travel.  Therefore, a valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (work-related travel expenses will be compensated).
