Assistant Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Generally an Assistant to the Project Manager in all aspects but, particularly in liaising with day-to-day needs of construction site
  • Coordinate and control all shop drawing requirements from trades to ensure timely production and approval by Consultants
  • Price all Purchaser upgrades from Site Customer Service operation
  • Initiate and check customer upgrade information to individual trades and Site Supervisors
  • Attend all site meetings and resolve administrative issues that arise
  • Assist Construction Superintendent in expediting trade's and consultant's work
  • Assist Construction Superintendent in resolving problems due to unforeseen site conditions
  • Ensure site trades receive current working drawings.  Expedite this information from Consultants as required
  • Initiate and check Purchaser's colour selections from customer service to site
  • Coordinate all connections to utilities that site requires (both temporary and permanent)
  • Assist Construction Superintendent in collecting/tracking occupancy related documents
  • Collect and prepare turnover documents
  • Distribute/update all appropriate parties as it relates to changes in working drawings, marketing drawings and legal drawings
  • Tendering; coordinate and prepare tender packages
  • Assist Project Manager in coordination of working drawings
  • Assist in Administration of trade summary sheets
  • Prepare contracts and addendums
  • Coordinate all change order administration
  • Assist in LEED Coordination implementation within contracts, site coordination and document collection/completion
  • Work on multiple projects if required
  • Sales office coordination
  • Assist Project Manager in coordination for new project sales launches (i.e. Schedule B, concept drawing coordination, B/L drawing administration, marketing coordination
  • Assist in preparing and modifying construction schedules
  • Review budgets and prepare transfer sheets
  • Payment processing of all upgrade invoices
  • Custom pricing for P.A.'s
  • Working with Technical Audit and Customer Care regarding outstanding or new issues post construction
