Application Solutions Architect

Job Description:

  • Validate solution designs against leading practices and overall solution architecture
  • Define and document solutions in terms of business processes, applications, applications interfaces, end-user interfaces, data, security as well as technology
  • Define a high level implementation strategy and their impact on operations
  • Participate at the evaluation and selection of products / solutions and propose best recommendation
  • Promote, reuse and apply existing solutions if possible;
  • Support project manager during solution implementation
  • Act as a key contributor to the path forward resolution of issues that cross business and technical areas;
  • Provide guidance and knowledge in architecture and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technologies to IT groups such as Project Management, IT Operations and Application Support;
  • Ensure architecture standards are applied to all system, technical and application projects;
  • Research and monitor technology developments and industry trends, assess their applicability, functionality and reliability for Resolute, and recommend technologies that will enhance the achievement of the business objectives.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Seven (7) years as Application Solution Architect 
  • Demonstrable knowledge across multiple functional areas (finance, supply chain, sales, BI, etc.) for business processes and SAP solutions;
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions; 
  • Demonstrated ability to document business and systems architectures;
  • Ability to simplify complexities for stakeholder communication and identifying impacts;
  • Proven ability to lead complex architectures/designs (documentation, review, improvements);
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in both official languages;
  • Self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to detail; 
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
  • Experience with EAI software (e.g. Netweaver PI); 
  • Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes;
  • Knowledgeable of B2B / EDI;
  • Knowledgeable of Architecture methodology (e.g. Productivity +, ToGAF);
  • Knowledgeable of Archimate Notation and Sparx Modelisation Tool;
  • Knowledgeable of SAP products (asset).
