Sr. Water Resources Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Highly proficient in the preparation of watershed studies, master drainage plans, stormwater management plans, and site servicing plans.
  • Expert knowledge of industry standard hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software packages.
  • Expert Knowledge of natural channel and erosion control design.
  • Expert Knowledge of municipal sewer design in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in the analysis, design and contract administration of stormwater management.
  • infrastructure for green-field developments and in retrofit situations.
  • Extensive knowledge of local municipality standards, specifications, tendering and approvals process.
  • Preparation of written reports and correspondence with internal staff and clients.
  • Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination.
  • Proven skills in client relationship and business development.
  • Input to the career development of more junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.
  • Proficient in project proposal preparation and presentations.
  • Report to corporate members and work together in a collaborative environment of engineers and other professionals.

 

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Water Resources Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • Registered as a P. Eng. in the Province of Ontario
  • At least 10 years of related experience within the local Greater Toronto Area/Ontario region
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Commitment to thrive in a proactive organization where client service is the priority
  • A working knowledge and strong understanding of state of the art software packages for the planning and design of storm water facilities (e.g. SWMHYMO, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, XP Storm, MIKE…etc)
